Results: Frazier Advances to November’s General Election

Oakley Councilman and AD-11 Candidate Jim Frazier has comfortably advanced to the November Primary to face Mike Hudson.  It was expected that Mike Hudson would win the Primary, but with three other Democrats now out of the race, Frazier should pick up most of the votes and split the independent votes Augustine received.
Assembly District 11

100.0% ( 223 of 223 ) precincts partially or fully reporting as of June 6, 2012, 4:43 a.m

  1. Mike Hudson – 17,288
  2. Jim Frazier – 15,386
  3. Patricia Hernandez – 9,501
  4. Len Augustine – 8,308
  5. Gene Gantt – 3,197
  6. Charles Kingeter – 939

Thoughts: Had Jim Frazier not had three other democrats pulling 13,637 votes away from him, he would have easily walked away with this primary. Come November, look for a landslide.  What surprised me was how little support Len Augustine had in Contra Costa County as he received just 7.09% of the vote (1,681).

Measure S

Yes – 43.42%  (5,800)
No – 56.58%

Thoughts: This battle now turns to service model as the voters were clear that they did not like the $197 parcel tax.  The fight for all of East County now should be ensuring a three station / 3 firefighters model is implemented.

3rd Supervisorial District

Mary Peipho – 95.28%  (16,804)
Write-in – 4.86% (833)
